Nine podcasts were made as part of the International Media Training Day for women, held in London on 25th & 26th April 2012 – organised by Frauen Solidaritaet and Central American Women’s Network, with Camden Community Radio.

Beatrice from Spain explains the work of Young Women Rights (FMJ) to challenge gender based violence among teenage couples and a film they have made to raise issues
Pria from Jeeran talks about a film project to raise awareness on the taboo subject in the Asian community of preference for boys over girls, which leads, among other things to elective abortion of female pregnancies.

The Feminist Library in London launched their new initiative, Women’s Studies Without Walls (WSWW) during the weekend of 19th and 20th January 2013. WSWW gave women the chance to take part in workshops, consciousness-raising and skills-sharing.

Savita Halappanavar Scandal & Women's Right to Life in Ireland
The death of Savita Halappanavar in a hospital in the West of Ireland in December 2012 has raised fury in Ireland, in India and around the world. The allegation is that the hospital staff refused, on religious grounds, to terminate a dying foetus so allowing Septicaemia to take hold. This report provides the background to demonstrators in London and elsewhere calling the Irish Government to legislate for a safer policy on the abortion.

West Hampstead Women's Centre - Rukshana Chishti
Camden Community Radio’s Cina Aissa went to an International Women’s Day celebration in March 2012. There she discovered the West Hampstead Women’s Centre and the amazing woman who has been its backbone for twenty one years.
18th December is International Migrant’s Day: Radio 1812 has organised radio broadcasts in 38 countries to celebrate migrants all over the world.
