Inside the Camden Town Shed
The Camden Town Shed was one of the first examples of the Men’s Shed movement from Australia to arrive in the UK. It was started by local man Mike Jenn and is based in the Maiden Lane Community Centre. It is a den of ingenuity and creativity and source of fulfillment for many of the men (and women) it serves.

Visit the Wellcome Trust’s exhibition on how graphic design influences our perception of human bodies; go to the New York MET’s performance of the opera Tosca streaming at the Brunswick Centre; take up learning at Maiden Lane with classes on sewing, run by the Working Men’s College, or working with clay, run by the Camden Town Shed; sing your heart out at a new choir being launched by the Foundling Museum; see the history of magic at the Harry Potter exhibition in the British Library.

Donate to the centre’s Christmas appeal to be in with a chance of winning; also at the Irish Centre this week is a vegan festival; There’s a carol concert TONIGHT at 6pm at St Michael’s Church in Highgate; cutting edge theatre from critically acclaimed director John Plews in Kentish Town; Kentish Town City Farm has its Christmas Festival and a fundraiser for All Dogs Matter, a charity that helps rehome dogs in need in London. Free refreshments from people who drop in during a dog walk.
