Black lesbian feminist poet Audre Lorde framed political struggle for a generation of women in Europe and USA. It is difficult to overestimate her legacy. To mark twentieth anniversary of her death, Fringe Film Festival 2012 screened ‘Audre Lorde: The Berlin Years 1984- 1992’. The response to the film highlighted the importance of Lorde’s legacy. Denise O’Connor and Betiel Baraki have captured some of the atmosphere for us.

Camden Fringe, 2019 - Fiona Spreadbouough
Fiona Spreadborough is bringing her one woman show ‘Adventures of a Tripadvisor seaside guesthouse keeper’ to Camden Fringe on Sunday 18th August (Water Rats, Grays Inn Road, 9pm, Tickets £5).

Camden Fringe 2019: 'No Water In the Jungle' comes
‘I’m going to tell you a story’, says the story teller. ‘Get on with it!’ say the children. Is the tortoise always the villian? Will the lion be the hero? Co-operation is both the key to the story and to how freelance photographer Ifeoma Onyefulu came to have a play for children, in the Camden Fringe Festival.
‘No Water in the Jungle’ has been adapted by someone who comes from a long line of storytellers in Nigerian Igbo tradition.

Izzy Mant - Polite club'
One of the 300+ shows at Camden Fringe 2018, is ‘Polite Club’, with which Izzy Mant makes her transition from producing TV comedy to raising a few laughs in the theatre.
