An evening showcasing young writers from Camden and Lambeth brought to you by Tosh and Freddy.

Organised by Small Green Shoots and local youth organisation WISDM and Brixton’s Raw Material, this event at the Queen’s Crescent Community Centre was something special. We hear from the youth organisers and poets running the project and from the performers themselves.

British Youth Council - Work Experience for 16-19 year olds, Sept 2012

The British Youth Council is offering 24 week work placements to 16-19 year olds who are not in employment or training. 'Flashback' - Maiden Lane (Youth) Radio Crew

Holding forth on the generational differences in music and associated fashions, are some teenagers from Maiden Lane. The Maiden Lane Radio Crew present ‘Flashback’ – the debut Camden youth music show including ‘old and new school fashion and music’, a hilarious take on ‘SWAGGER’ and the ‘Beyonce vs. Janet music face off’!

‘Flashback’ was made as part of The Roundhouse Round 1 Project, developing the skills of young radio reporters and producers within the local community as well as outreach radio schemes, providing hands on radio opportunities for local youth groups.

Cochrane Theatre Youth Production - Your Chance to Get Involved

Camden Community Radio’s Fiona Wright and Athos Harber talk with the Deirdre Malynn, the Director of the Cochrane Theatre who is still looking for a few people aged 16 to 23 to come and benefit from this opportunity to be in a professional production. If you have front stage talent, forget xFactor and get down to Southampton Row on Monday 8th August at 10.30am. You just might end up in the September performance of ‘Oh What A Lovely War’, acting, singing and learning how to be part of the Company. If you are looking for a job behind the scenes, there are five times as many backstage jobs as on stage jobs ones. You can try your hand at practical tasks such as lighting, sound, costume, press, marketing, stage sets and stage management in a professional environment.
