Interview with Nicola Lane about Spirit House
Nicola Lane, artist/filmmaker, talks about her Spirit House exhibition on at the Geddes Gallery. Her childhood memories of living in Bangkok, where every property has a ‘Spirit House’, are the inspiration for the show. These miniature temples are shrines to the protective spirits.
It runs from 16 February – 20 March located at 18 Malden Road Kentish Town. The space is being used as a pop-up gallery as part of a council project to turn unused & vacant retail spaces into use for local artists.

What's On In Camden - 31st July
On Wednesday this week there’s an evening of music in aid of promoting peace in Palestine and Israel at Cecil Sharp House. Performances will be from Heartbeat, an Israeli-Palestinian music community made up 18 to 25 year olds. Also on the music vibe: get down to the Fiddler’s Elbow for their legendary blues jam session this Tuesday, ‘Squeeze My Lemon’. Here at Maiden Lane Community Centre there is a full program of activities for young people being run during the summer holidays. Highlights this week are trips to Diggerworld and a family trip to a Lido.

Arms around the cafe at Parliament Hill Fields, Sunday from 1pm; Circus Fest is under way at the Roundhouse with Race Horse Company and Jeanne Mordoj; Camden New Town History group’s monthly talk is on the effects of 1916 Uprising; The Forge celebrates its birthday with a Cuban themed day on Friday 15th; ‘Shakespeare in Ten Acts’ opens at the British Library. ‘Dheepan’ and ‘I am Belfast’ are at the Curzon Cinema, Brunswick Square.

What's On In Camden - 28th March 2016
There’s a ton of fun this Easter in Camden. The London Irish Centre has a week of plays in commemoration of the Easter Rising. Maiden Lane Community Centre has a full program of activities to keep the school holidays fun; People Places and Things, a play about addiction and recovery, has transferred to the West End; the National Citizen Service are putting on a night in celebration of young people who transform their communities at the Roundhouse.
