Amy's 30! Amy Winehouse Foundation Celebrates in Style
The Amy Winehouse Foundation is celebrating what would have been Amy’s 30th Birthday with a festival in Camden. From 26th – 30th September, there will be a pop up shop at 69 Camden High Street selling donated goods and limited editions of new Amy Winehouse merchandise. Blues Kitchen and The Jazz Cafe have been holding events, Gilgamesh hosts ‘Friday I’m in Love Birthday Singalong, tonight. There will be cabaret and music in venues such as the Black Cap and the Jewish Museum. There is advance warning of the rooftop Bar-B-Q at Maiden Lane Community Centre on Saturday 29th June and news of the Summer Holiday PlayScheme at Camden Square which has breakfast club, extended day and core day for children aged 4 to 12 years of age. ‘Elements’, Summer Dance Show from City Academy is at the Shaw Theatre on Sunday 24th; The Award Winning ‘Blackbird’ opens at Theatro Technis on Tuesday 26th; Kilburn Film Festival opens on Thursday 28th showing Irish short films and continues with ‘The Most Important Thing’ which was feted in both Berlin and Teplice earlier this year and was drawn and spoken by the children of Malorees Junior School. The two day Jester Festival opens on Saturday 30th June.
