Trying to Keep Sane - A Poem by Martin Lim
Trying to keep sane,
Don’t want to wane again,
Feeling like a trapped soul,
Jumping deeper into the hole,
Feeling experimentally challenged,
Counting the days I’ve mismanaged,
Hiding the light under a bowl.
I don’t want to think I’ve suffered in vain,
Through years of loneliness and pain,
Because time will kill me in the end,
If I don’t let go of all that I pretend /to be,
And realise what I ought to be,
In the arms of some sympathetic company

What I Really Long For
A poem by Martin Lim
What I really long for,
Is to find that long lost distant shore.
To be alone in my private thoughts,
Distant voices echoing through the wind’
When will they stop ,
When will they rescind,
Persistant,thought resistant ,
Shaming to the core.
What I desire
Like purifying fire,
Is to make God’s word the truth and the Devil liar,
To make the right choices,
Instead of treading on thin wire,
Separate the wheat from the briar,
Let him be the squire.

Any witnesses to the collision are asked to contact the Road Death Investigation Unit at Alperton on 0208 998 5319.
