What On: Beginning Saturday 16th October 2010
Marian, Martina and Tosh bring news of Roisin Conaty at the Etcetera Theatre tonight and a meeting on London’s Housing Crisis at the House of Commons on Monday evening. Also at the Etcetera Theatre on Monday 18th is ‘Walking The Wall: Extreme Rambling’ which charts a walk along the Israeli Separation Barrier. From Tuesday to Saturday, ‘Nina and Shaz’, which connects Nina Simone with today’s London, is on at the Drill Hall. On Wednesday, there is a demonstration against public sector cuts and on Thursday, don’t miss ‘Folk and Roots in the Cellar’ in St Pancras Way

The week starts with World Mental Health Day events on Sunday in N1. On the same day in South London, climate change and homelessness are themes for a music event. On Monday, there is a Defend Council Housing lobby of parliament from 12 non to 3pm saying ‘Hands off Council Housing’. Email info@defendcouncilhousing.org.uk or visit the website. Monday evening sees Iranian Documentary Film at Asia House, email rsvp@iranheritage.org to book a free place.
