What's on in Camden from 17th May
There’s lots going on at the Camden Arts Centre right now: Moyra Davies ‘Life Without Sheets’, Philip Lai’s ‘Besides’, work by Caroline Archaintre, ‘How Can Art?’ offering young people a chance to develop new ideas and a drop-in session on Sundays. Elsewhere, at the Irish Centre there are classes in Irish music and dance coming up. The Jazz Cafe has some great gigs coming up including a tribute to Amy Winehouse plus a black metal band are coming to the Electric Ballroom.

Maiden Lane Community Centre has a programme of activities for the half term week, from BMX biking and cinema, to swimming and family day. info from the website or call Amanda on 020 7485 0845: On Monday ‘The Real Me’, a play in the making is being read at the Drill Hall: There is a FREE DJ and Rap workshop at the Pirate Castle at Oval Road for people aged 13-24. On Thursday and Friday From Thursday to Sunday, the annual Return to Camden Town takes place at the Irish Centre and in local pubs. Julia Pascal’s play ‘Honeypot’ is at the New Diorama. On Sunday, £5 will get you into Oxfam’s Oxjam at the Fiddlers Elbow in Malden Road.
