Royal Café Closed by Network Rail Rent Hike
The Royal Café has been serving up food and drink to locals and tourists in Camden for twenty-four years. It’s a part of the community. It was started by Ayse and her husband in 1993 and they’ve run it ever since. But now they’re having to shut up shop because Network Rail, who owns the property, has increased their rent by 100%.

Camden's Top Cheerleaders Are Off to Rome!!
We do love to celebrate New Year and what better group to help us do that than Cheerleaders? Now when we think of Cheerleaders we may associate them with America, but while its roots may be there, it’s a movement that‘s thriving in Britain, and even in our own backyard in Camden.
And it’s not just about entertainment. The activities promote health, community, family and acceptance. Our local group, London Infinity Elite, usually takes part in the New Year Parade in London, but this year they’ve been invited to Italy for the first ever event of its kind there. Just before the group took off their inspirational founder, Valerie Amajoutt, came into our studios and talked to Ann Carroll who asked; What was she expecting from this New Year’s Parade in Rome?

Newscast October 2014
Back after a prolonged summer break, this month’s newscast is a treat for the ears. We bring you incredible poetry from the young people from the New Horizons centre in Chalton Street. In a night organised by new local organisation Youth Sauce, these young people reimagined their own tough stories and fairytales dark and grim set in Somerstown.
Our second story comes from Rochester Square Gardens and the community who have been squatting there for more than a year now. They have wonderful plans for the space and visions of returning it as a natural paradise to the local community, but it is proving a slow process. Listen in to find out more about this alternative group and what they’re trying to achieve.
Lastly, we close with an interview and some music from our newest recruit Melvyn.
Enjoy!
