Free Space Gallery
The recent re building of the Kentish Town Health Centre in Bartholomew Road saw the introduction of space for the arts. Following the idea that art is good for social health, the health centre provides support for cutting edge artistic works in its free gallery. Individual artists, as well as schools and community centres, can exhibit there and at a second premises in Queen’s Crescent. Talks, discussions and performance arts are also being developed. David Michaels of Camden Community Radio went to talk to Melissa Hardwick, Arts Manager and Curator at Free Space Gallery about how this unique space works and about the forthcoming exhibitions by the Leighton Project and by acclaimed Iraqi artist, Emad Altaay Modern.
